UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: NEW TRUTH
Where Did We Go Wrong? And Why isn’t Anyone Talking About This? Have you heard a message from the pulpit that just made the hair on the back of your neck stand up. A message more from today’s headlines, than the Bible.

Matthew 7:15–20: Jesus warns to "watch out for false prophets," noting that they come in "sheep's clothing" but are inwardly "ferocious wolves." They are recognized by their fruit.

Let me start by saying: I am not attacking anyone’s religion, Church, or faith. I am just telling you what I have noticed. I am a Bible believing Christian that knows the importance of faith and belief in our lives.

A Troubling Trend in America
I have stumbled onto a very troubling trend going on in the Methodist denomination of the Christian faith. I am finding out it is also occurring in others, like the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church, the United Church of Christ, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, but many of these denominations crossed the line many years ago. But they represent a fairly small percentage of Christians across the United States so I believe it has been overlooked.
It is not surprising with the smaller ones because of their strong roots and ties with Europe. We have watched Europe descend into socialism for years now. But having the socialist trend dip into the Methodist Church is troublesome. The United Methodist Church is the third-largest Protestant denomination in America, with roughly 5.4 to 6 million members.
The Methodist Church is a uniquely American religious institution, steeped in generations of American tradition dating back to the Christmas Conference of 1784. Although the Methodist movement began in England, it was in December 1784 that American Methodists formally organized the Methodist Episcopal Church as an independent denomination, establishing a distinctly American Methodist institution in the newly formed United States.
The other aforementioned denominations liberal movement was identified fairly early on because of the headline-making subjects they crossed into during those early days:
1. The Ordination of Women and the Modern Glass Ceiling
2. Openly Gay Clergy and Bishops
3. The Redefinition of Marriage in Church Law
4. Language, Liturgy, and Gender-Neutral Pronouns
When this started to happen, we heard a lot about it on TV because our media had not yet come out of the closet themselves and were still reporting headlines. Remember, several years ago, these were huge changes in religion that made major headlines at the time.
I also always thought at the time that the media felt reporting these developments would help weaken Christianity. But as it turned out, their reporting helped open the door to the new, stronger non-denominational movement that now exceeds 13 million active weekly adherents, making it one of the largest and fastest-growing segments of American Christianity.
We have known for a generation now that the media was no friend to Christianity.

My Personal Connection to the Methodist Church
I am writing this today as someone who has generations of roots in the United Methodist Church. My mom has been a Methodist all her life, and her side of the family has been Methodist for generations, including building some of the largest Methodist churches in St. Joseph, Missouri.
I attended a Methodist church growing up as a child and then as an adult in Oklahoma. I was married in a Methodist church. Christened my children in a Methodist church. So as you can see my exposure to this American denomination is extensive.
What is so troubling to me is this: Where did it all go wrong? And why do so few people see it?
I would also be interested in just how many people in this once-great denomination realize the extent of the changes going on right before their eyes while sitting in the pews of their church.

When the Pulpit Massages the Headlines, Not the truth
An interesting dynamic to investigate is UMC pastors are often much more liberal than the people sitting in their pews. This movement is subtle at first but grows as the people accept a small tweak of the gospel at a time. They are leading their sheep to slaughter, and most don't even see it.
I have noticed an increase in United Methodist Church (UMC) ministers engaging in liberal or progressive politics, my observations align with a major ongoing shift within the denomination. The intersection of faith and political action in the UMC is driven by a recent denominational split, a historical focus on social advocacy, and a documented ideological gap between clergy and church members.
When your minister takes liberties with meaning, including acceptance of clearly nonbiblical principles and activities of the day, it should set off alarms. When all of a sudden, your church has many changes in policies and people at once, you should pay attention.

Kansas and Missouri: Examples in Our Own Backyard
Let's take for example my area. I live in the middle of flyover country.
We have the current Kansas U.S. Senate race between incumbent Dr. Roger Marshall and Methodist minister Adam Hamilton.
Hamilton has said some of the craziest, most liberal things from a pulpit I have ever heard, including his environmental sermons telling Kansans to "repent for eating beef, driving trucks... and to calculate their carbon footprint." He is currently engaged in flat out lies about not only his opponent but about his past record. Hardly what you would expect from a minister, but I guess that is his point. He allows his title to run cover for his lies.
He is a member of the party that is pro-abortion, pro-socialized medicine, pro-open borders, pro-trans surgery for children, anti-Israel, pro-Hamas, anti-law enforcement, and supportive of many other positions that are biblical offenses he has alluded his support of in past sermons and comments, yet now runs from it like a bear was after the pork chop he is carrying in his back pocket.
Now Hamilton is in full-blown suppression mode to fool the voters in his bid for the U.S. Senate. So now he has come out against these things at election time yet remains in the Democrat Socialist Party. Of course, we see Democrat Candidate after Democrat Candidate playing the same game across the country.
Then we have the Missouri 5th District U.S. representative, Methodist Minister Emanuel Cleaver, who has a clear socialist agenda and voting record and has openly backed the socialist agenda for years. Cleaver is just another Methodist Minister who belongs proudly to the Democrat Socialists. Cleaver votes with Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, the squad and the radical liberal democrats 97% of the time.
He is running against a friend of mine, Rick Brattin, who is a true conservative and good Christian family man. It sure is odd how these so-called Methodist Ministers are the first to start the mud slinging and lies.
I even had a Methodist minister who went to the same high school I did at some time trolling my web pages until I exposed him for what he was.
The funny thing is that so many of these people forget that not all conservatives will play by their rules and attitudes. Some of us just are not afraid and could care less about their opinions.

Has Modern Christianity Fallen Under the Spell of Socialism?
So, it seems that modern Christianity in some denominations has fallen under the spell of socialism, the gateway to communism that outlaws Christianity altogether. How insane is that.
It appears Christianity has become another victim of the constant bombardment from the communist left, joining the victims of the erosion of long-standing American institutions and traditions, like our educational system, holidays, Scouting, history, and so many more.

What Does the Bible Really Say?
It of course does not say God is a Republican or a Democrat. That is 100% true. But His values are easily found in the biblical teachings if people will take the time to research it for themselves:
God is Pro-Life — Genesis 1:27
God is Pro-Border — Nehemiah 2
God is Pro-Law — Romans 13:4
God is Pro-Male and Female — Genesis 1:27
God is Pro-Israel — Genesis 12:3
There are many more examples, but this is a good start for people to think about.
So, I ask you, including all the Political Methodist ministers: Which party lines up best with Gods biblical teachings?
No, Republicans are not perfect. You can find examples of wrongdoing there, too. You can find examples to disagree with. But on principle, where do you stand? The Republicans who like most good unperfect Christians are at least trying.
The balance becomes this: Will you follow a little imperfection (Republicans), or will you follow evil and crazy (Democrats)? Not according to me, but according to the Bible.

Recognizing the Fruit: A Call to Christians
Matthew 7:15–20: Jesus warns to "watch out for false prophets," noting that they come in "sheep's clothing" but are inwardly "ferocious wolves." They are recognized by their fruit.
2 Peter 2:1–3:"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."
God gives us choice, as should the rest of us give to one another, but I encourage you to think and use that choice wisely.
I urge all Christians to get involved in our election process and go vote, but think first, because how you vote today will affect your children's futures for generations.
