To My Christian Brother and Sisters regarding the Mid-Term Election November 3, 2026

When Faith Becomes a Political Weapon, A New Troubling Development from the Left.

To My Christian Brother and Sisters regarding the Mid-Term Election November 3, 2026

I have noticed an on slot of liberals, progressives and Democrats asking me questions like what would Jesus do? Then quoting and manipulating bible verses and trying to play on the good hearts of Christians in this election cycle to manipulate your thinking.

Let me start by reminding you the Bible addresses the topic of false prophets and false teachers extensively in both the Old and New Testaments. It provides warnings about their methods, character traits like greed or deception, and instructions on how to recognize them.

A Warning From Scripture

The following is a brief list to look up for the folks who want references…. Like liberals.

Matthew 7:15–20,

Matthew 24:11 & 24:24

Luke 6:26: Jesus notes that false prophets are often popular and highly praised by the world, just as false prophets were in the Old Testament.

2 Peter 2:1–3, 1 John 4:1,

Galatians 1:6–9:, 1 Timothy 4:1–2,

Jude 1:4: Jude warns about godless people who have secretly slipped into the church, twisting the grace of God into a license for immorality

The Old Testament, Deuteronomy 18:20–22, Jeremiah 23:14–16

When the Messenger Becomes the Message

What brought this to my attention was the judgmental talks from a Methodist Preacher I became aware of that went to the same school I had. We connected on Face Book he offered me friendship and I of course thought he is a man of God so how could I go wrong.

Well as it turns out he is a flaming liberal and using his platform every time he gets a chance to disparage other Christians who are Republicans and support our current President. His clear implication is he is a man of God and therefore understands these things a commoner just can’t. He tries to manipulate your faith using his hodgepodge of identity-based thinking to show you how you are wrong. Similar to the espoused beliefs of James Talarico running for US Senate in Texas.

His page is full of bible references of course, but what makes it bad it is also full of bad comments he makes towards President Trump and the people who support them. Oh, BTW he also uses vulgar language. Of course, as do I however, but I am not trying to profess a holier than thou image. I just do not normally find a lot of cursing on Pasters pages.

I have left out his name because it is unimportant. We all run into people like this, I just want to bring it to people’s attention who have seen it and struggle on how to handle it.

The Danger of Using a Title to Establish Authority

I believe the more crucial damage a man like this is doing, is spreading his liberal poison across the internet not just to his small congregation. Using his position to validate why he is right, that in my opinion is just wrong. He has the right to give his opinion as we all do. My problem comes when he uses his position and title as a man of God to spread his opinion implicating Gods word to justify it. Now, I will not go so far as to judge his faith because that is way above my pay grade and I am instructed not to judge. I will also mention no matter his political view I would feel the same way.

My point here is to caution people that there are many voices out there that are spreading this poison using biblical teachings to lead good people astray and make them question their own beliefs and who they should support.

Do Not Let Anyone Use Your Faith Against You

This has become just another tactic from the left. I have noticed it worsened over this election cycle. We must be cautious not to let people use your faith against you. I don’t care what their training or title is there is right and wrong, and it is Gods job to judge not ours or theirs.

I notice this a lot on social media, but I see it creep into politics even to include political figures in DC. Now I encourage you not to judge their faith, but I do ask you to stand fast with your belief in right and wrong. I also request that you do not allow a title to control your judgement in political matters. Never allow anyone to make you believe you should never vote for anyone who has sin or weakness. We all suffer from these flaws.

Look at Results, Not Someone Else's Definition of Your Faith

Vote based on results not someone’s definition of your beliefs. Never let anyone make you think you should vote for someone because you are required by God to vote against someone else, because of a transgression. Biblical principle just does not work that way.

Oh, and let me remind you these same people never tell you the flaws of the people they support, matter of fact you can hardly get them to even tell you who they support, just who you should not support.

“What Would Jesus Do?”

Here is what I do even with this minister. When he and others ask me what would Jesus do, I explain I have no idea what Jesus would do because I cannot speak or understand for my lord and savior, but I can tell you what he said and what it means to me as interpreted to me by the Holy Spirt.

Many times, I will go on to tell them, I can’t tell you what Jesus would do, but I can tell you what he would not do. For example, he would not back a party that is evil and corrupt, one that has interpreted laws to weaken and disparage Christianity, he would not back a party that believes it is ok to kill babies and traffic children, he would not back a party that believed it was ok for anyone to decide the gender God picked for a child is wrong and should be fixed, he would not have backed a party who is antisemitic, he would not back a party that judges everyone and everything using their model of beliefs most which are directly opposed to biblical principles, nor would he back the party who believes political violence including murder is ok.

I go on to explain that I feel it would be impossible for him to back a party who is now involved with communism because communists make Christianity illegal in every country they rule, and I know he would not back a party of Islam.

I then explain that this is my opinion and beliefs based on my thousands of hours of studying the bible and reading the Quarin to become familiar with almost every religion I know of for the purposes of being able to have these conversations.

Stand Firm in Your Faith

I just want to remind all of my Christian brothers and sister with good hearts that our God requires us to be strong and fight for Righteousness. We are led to be warriors of Christ, and he gave us Armor to wear to do so. We serve a strong God, the almighty God. Yes, we follow Christ as sheep because many times the bible refers to him as our shepherd and how we depend on him and should as his sheep, but it is also clear we follow no other shepherd except the word of God. There is a difference between being a sheep of Christ and a sheep in the world.

Never Be Afraid to Take a Stand

Never be afraid to get involved, never be afraid of a fight, never be afraid to take a stand. Just know the truth, be reasonable and realize we must be warriors to the world.
