How the Left Killed Liberalism

September 9, 2025 - The only reason conservatives are now called “far-right” is because liberals went so far left.

Around fifty years ago, classic liberals started seeing themselves as “progressives”. They quickly learned that progressives must, above all, be seen as loving and caring people. As the years passed and the bar for “caring” was steadily raised, liberals felt the need to look ever more loving and ever more accepting…of everyone and everything.

The old, cherished ideals of liberalism increasingly became out of date and out of step. After all, progressives are expected to keep up with the times. Inevitably, they were drawn to embrace ever more radical “progressive” causes.

Their fatal attraction to group acceptance led liberals to embrace and promote the fundamentals and the fallacies of leftism. These liberals turned progressives have now turned into unapologetic leftists.

The downward political spiral of liberalism to leftism has become so destructive to cultures, societies and governments that every problem we now face can be traced back to good, reasonable “liberals” losing their way (and their minds) and allowing leftist ideology to be put into practice.
