Wisconsin Democratic Socialist Congressional Candidate Posts Then Deletes Video of Shooting at Trump Targets
The video, first reported by The Gateway Pundit, showed Cooper shooting at paper targets featuring Trump’s face.

MADISON, Wis. — Stephen Cooper, a biological male who identifies as a woman named Katrina DeVille and is running as a Democratic Socialist in the 2026 primary for Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District, posted and then quickly deleted a campaign-related video showing himself at a gun range firing at targets that included an image of President Donald Trump.
The video, first reported by The Gateway Pundit, showed Cooper shooting at paper targets featuring Trump’s face. Cooper, who openly describes himself as a Satanist, is backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). His campaign manager is also a trans-identified male.
Cooper’s platform includes strong support for puberty blockers and gender surgeries for children, pornographic books in schools, and drag queen story time. He was recently banned from the Democratic 8th District convention for violent rhetoric.

The candidate removed the gun-range video after it drew widespread attention and criticism. No explanation for the deletion has been provided by Cooper or his campaign.
The incident comes amid heightened national sensitivity over political violence following the recent shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and multiple federal cases involving threats against President Trump. Cooper has not commented publicly on the video or its removal.
Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District is currently held by Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher’s successor. Cooper is one of several candidates seeking the Democratic nomination in the heavily contested race.
The episode highlights ongoing concerns about inflammatory rhetoric and threats in the current political climate, particularly from candidates on the far left.
