Whistleblowers Preparing to Hand Over Sworn Affidavits in Obama-Era Russia Collusion Probe

“We have whistleblowers… coming forward now after we released these documents because there are people who were around, who were working within the intelligence community at that time who were so disgusted by what happened.”

Following the release of over 100 declassified documents exposing an alleged Obama-era conspiracy to fabricate Russian interference in the 2016 election, intelligence community whistleblowers are preparing to hand over sworn affidavits, according to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Speaking on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures on July 20, 2025, Gabbard highlighted the growing number of insiders ready to deliver evidence to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Gabbard told host Maria Bartiromo, “We have whistleblowers… coming forward now after we released these documents because there are people who were around, who were working within the intelligence community at that time who were so disgusted by what happened.” These whistleblowers, she said, aim to ensure accountability for what she calls a “treasonous conspiracy” to undermine President Donald Trump’s 2016 victory. The documents, released Friday, allege that former President Barack Obama and senior officials, including John Brennan, James Comey, James Clapper, and Susan Rice, pushed a false narrative of Russian collusion despite knowing it lacked evidence.

The whistleblowers’ affidavits are expected to detail insider knowledge of how the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment was manipulated to claim Russian interference favored Trump, contradicting earlier findings that Russia had neither the intent nor capability to “hack” the election. “We’re starting to see some of them come out of the woodwork here because they… want to see justice delivered,” Gabbard emphasized, noting her office’s commitment to forwarding all evidence to the DOJ and FBI for criminal referrals.

Gabbard’s push for accountability has sparked hope among supporters for indictments, though she clarified, “I’m not a lawyer,” but believes the evidence is sufficient to “move forward and bring about justice.” The FBI has reportedly initiated investigations into Brennan and Comey, while some Democrats, like Rep. Jim Himes, have called the allegations “baseless.” Attempts to contact Obama, Brennan, Comey, Clapper, and Rice for comment have gone unanswered.
