GOLD COAST, Australia – The Trump Organization has partnered with Altus Property Group to develop Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast, announced as Australia's tallest building at 335 meters and 91 stories, marking the first Trump-branded project in the country.

The $1.5 billion development in Surfers Paradise will feature a 285-room luxury hotel, 272 premium residential apartments, a three-level podium with an exclusive Beach Club, and over 3,400 square meters of retail and dining space. Early works have been approved, with construction slated to begin in August 2026 and completion targeted for the end of the decade. Eric Trump highlighted the project as redefining beachfront luxury in an iconic location.

The tower would surpass current records, exceeding Melbourne's Australia 108 at 317 meters and the Gold Coast's Q1 at 322 meters. Plans are yet to be formally submitted to Gold Coast City Council for approval.

Reactions are mixed: supporters praise the economic boost, while critics, including a Change.org petition with thousands of signatures, oppose the Trump association. Local developer Harry Young called it the "best resort in the world," but community concerns focus on skyline impact and branding.

The initiative aligns with Trump's global real estate expansion, emphasizing high-end developments amid his administration's focus on international partnerships.
