Trump Calls Off Planned Iran Strikes Following Direct Appeals from Gulf Allies

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Monday called off planned U.S. military strikes against Iranian targets after direct requests from key Gulf allies, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Trump confirmed the decision after conversations with Gulf leaders who warned that additional strikes could spike global oil prices, destabilize the fragile ceasefire, and risk broader retaliation across the region.
