President Donald Trump announced Thursday that the Board of Peace has reached an agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza, describing it as a monumental step toward lasting peace and security in the region.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated: “Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY.” He said the process would unfold in carefully structured phases. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces would withdraw, and an International Stabilization Force would work alongside a new Palestinian police force to ensure Gaza is safe for its residents and neighbors. Under the framework, Gaza would transition to governance by a new Palestinian technocratic administration that works closely with the Board of Peace.

Trump thanked mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey for their efforts and framed the deal as a major milestone in the implementation of his 20-point peace plan. He emphasized that the threat that emerged from Gaza on October 7 would not be allowed to rebuild and that Israel would finally have the security it deserves, with the territory no longer serving as a base for terror attacks.
