WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are scheduled to attend and speak at the Rededicate 250 Prayer Jubilee on the National Mall today, the official kickoff event for America’s 250th anniversary celebrations organized by Freedom 250.

Event Schedule and Program Details

Gates open at 9:00 AM, with the full program running from approximately 10:45 AM to 6:00 PM on the main stage near 12th Street. The day begins with sunrise worship near the U.S. Capitol and features a full program of Scripture readings, personal testimonies, extended periods of prayer, worship music, and messages calling the nation back to its founding spiritual principles.

Confirmed speakers and participants include:

  • Faith leaders such as Franklin Graham, Pastor Jentezen Franklin, Pastor Jack Graham, Pastor Jonathan Pokluda, Bishop Robert Barron, Cardinal Timothy Dolan (via video), Sadie Robertson Huff, Eric Metaxas, and Rev. Samuel Rodriguez.
  • Political figures including House Speaker Mike Johnson, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and other Trump administration officials. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to deliver a video message.
  • Christian artist and influencer Jonathan Roumie (known for portraying Jesus in The Chosen).
  • Worship performances by Grammy-winning artist Chris Tomlin and others.

The program centers on three main pillars: reflecting on the faith of America’s founders, sharing contemporary testimonies of God’s work in the nation, and seeking divine guidance and blessing for the next 250 years. Organizers describe it as inspired by the Continental Congress’s 1776 call for a national day of prayer and fasting.

Freedom 250, backed by the Trump administration, organized the event as the launch of a year-long commemoration leading up to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026. A livestream will be available nationwide through partner churches, ministries, and organizations. Additional Rededicate 250 events are planned across the country throughout the remainder of the year.
