MEMPHIS, Tenn. – President Donald Trump toured Elvis Presley’s Graceland estate on March 23, 2026, during a stop in Memphis to spotlight the success of the Memphis Safe Task Force.
Trump entered Graceland through the front door and said, “Who doesn’t love Elvis?” and “Everybody loves Elvis, right.” He added, “I’m a big fan of Elvis,” and “I understood his life. His life was complicated.” It was his first visit to the historic home.
During the tour, Trump signed a replica of a guitar Elvis used in 1973 and displayed the autograph. He told guides he had heard about Graceland all his life and noted he knew Frank Sinatra and other stars but never met Elvis.
The visit followed a roundtable on the task force, which involves the National Guard and federal agencies. Since its implementation, overall crime in Memphis has dropped over 43 percent, with motor vehicle thefts down 67 percent, robberies down 51 percent, sexual assaults down 38 percent, homicides down 35 percent, burglaries down 32 percent, and aggravated assaults down 31 percent.
The White House credited Trump’s leadership and the task force with delivering strong public safety results. Trump departed Memphis afterward to return to Washington.
