Pitbull Partners with AI Company to Launch Interactive Civics Curriculum Featuring Founding Fathers
Digital DNA Labs CEO Jason Inasi described the program as a way to make civics engaging and accessible. “This is like having a FaceTime call with one of the Founding Fathers,” he said.

MIAMI, Fla. — Grammy-winning artist Pitbull has joined forces with Digital DNA Labs to develop a new AI-powered civics curriculum that lets students engage directly with virtual versions of America’s Founding Fathers and other historical figures.
The project creates lifelike digital recreations — complete with historically accurate images, voices, and period-appropriate accents — drawn from trusted archives. Students can ask questions and receive curriculum-aligned answers in real time, simulating one-on-one conversations with figures such as George Washington.
Digital DNA Labs CEO Jason Inasi described the program as a way to make civics engaging and accessible. “This is like having a FaceTime call with one of the Founding Fathers,” he said. The initiative was inspired in part by a Steve Jobs clip envisioning students interacting with great thinkers of the past.
The partnership addresses documented shortfalls in civic knowledge. A 2024 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation survey found 70 percent of Americans failed a basic civic literacy quiz, with only half correctly identifying the branch of government that passes bills into law. The 2022 National Assessment of Educational Progress showed just 22 percent of eighth-graders scored proficient or above in civics.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, has long championed education. The Miami native co-founded the SLAM! charter school network, which operates tuition-free public schools serving thousands of students nationwide. Inasi noted Pérez’s dedication to “the story of America — the ability to come here and build yourself up from the ground up.”
Pilot programs are underway in Florida charter and private schools, with discussions underway to expand to additional school districts and states. The curriculum also targets post-COVID “long-anxiety” among students who may hesitate to speak up in class, allowing them to interact privately from home.
The rollout comes ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and supports broader efforts to strengthen patriotic education and informed citizenship. Parents and school leaders interested in the program are encouraged to request it locally.
