WASHINGTON – The Pentagon on Wednesday released the names of the final two U.S. Army Reserve soldiers killed in Sunday's Iranian drone attack on a military base in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, bringing the total identified fatalities to six amid the ongoing U.S. military action against Iran.

The deceased are:

  • Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien, 45, of Indianola, Iowa
  • Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, California

Both were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) in Des Moines, Iowa.

The four soldiers identified earlier were:

  • Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
  • Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
  • Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
  • Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa

All six were from the same unit, providing sustainment support at the forward operating base when the drone struck, part of Iran's retaliatory barrages following U.S. and Israeli strikes that began February 28 and eliminated key regime leaders.

The attack highlights the risks to U.S. forces from Iranian aggression, prompting tributes from President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who called the fallen "true American heroes" defending against a terrorist threat.

To date, the military action—entering its eighth day—has involved over 2,000 strikes achieving air superiority, degrading nuclear and missile sites, sinking an Iranian warship, and prompting global support, with Iranian counterstrikes causing these casualties. Reinforcements continue, with Trump projecting four to five weeks of targeted operations to secure U.S. and allied interests.
