August 7, 2025 - Washington, D.C. – Newly declassified documents reveal President Obama publicly endorsed a CIA assessment claiming Vladimir Putin meddled in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton—weeks before the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) was finalized. This preemptive action fueled the Russia collusion hoax that plagued Trump's presidency, despite internal debates and evidence showing the claims were unsubstantiated.

In mid-December 2016, Obama referenced anonymous CIA leaks in an NPR interview, stating no one should be "surprised by the CIA assessment that this was done purposely to improve Trump's chances." He echoed this in a White House press conference and on The Daily Show, suggesting Russia aimed to undermine Clinton and boost Trump—two weeks before the classified ICA draft on December 30, 2016, and the public version on January 6, 2017.

The ICA, directed by Obama post-Trump's November 2016 victory, was crafted by CIA, FBI, and NSA under John Brennan, James Comey, and Mike Rogers. A July 2025 CIA review criticized Brennan for including the debunked Steele Dossier, funded by Clinton's campaign, despite objections from CIA officers and Rogers' "moderate confidence" in the key judgment. DNI Tulsi Gabbard declassified evidence showing Obama knew the narrative was false, directing its creation to subvert Trump's win.

Obama's spokesperson denied the claims as "ridiculous," citing a 2020 Senate report affirming Russian influence without vote manipulation. Yet, declassifications expose the hoax's roots: no pre-election ICA mentioned Putin favoring Trump, and raw intelligence was published over tradecraft concerns.

Attorney General Pam Bondi launched a strike force in July 2025 to investigate these findings, targeting Obama-era abuses. This revelation underscores deep state efforts to delegitimize Trump's victory, demanding accountability for manufactured narratives that divided the nation.
