Massive Data Leak Exposes Identities of 41,000 DHS Employees, Including ICE and CBP Agents
An activist group published a searchable database containing names, work contact information, and operational details for more than 41,000 Department of Homeland Security personnel and contractors, including ICE and CBP agents. DHS said it is investigating the breach and working to protect affected employees.

A searchable database of more than 41,000 Department of Homeland Security employees and contractors was published online by an activist group, exposing names, job titles, work email addresses, cell-phone numbers, and office locations for personnel at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and other components. Some records include undercover investigators and details of operations and technology used.
The data, last updated around August 19 according to analysts, was obtained by a group calling itself the Department of Peace and shared with researchers and journalists. More than half the records relate to CBP; roughly 10,000 involve ICE, including a substantial portion in Homeland Security Investigations. Additional entries cover the Federal Protective Service, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
The Washington Post reported that the database includes some previously unknown operation names and technology references, such as tools from Cellebrite and Palantir. Multiple ICE and CBP personnel contacted via the leaked information said they had not yet been notified by the agency. An HSI intelligence bulletin was reportedly issued internally.
DHS stated it was “aware of a potential breach” and “working to address the situation swiftly and effectively.” The agency said it takes threats against employees and officers seriously and will update the public when more information is available. The leak is the third recent targeting of government personnel data.
