Former Security Guard for Rep. Crockett Killed in Dallas Police Standoff
Robinson was wanted on a warrant for impersonating a law enforcement officer when police tracked him to a parking garage at Children's Medical Center Dallas.

Diamon-Mazairre Robinson, a 39-year-old man who operated under the alias Mike King and provided security services for U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), was fatally shot by Dallas police during a SWAT standoff on March 13, 2026.
Robinson was wanted on a warrant for impersonating a law enforcement officer when police tracked him to a parking garage at Children's Medical Center Dallas around 11 p.m. He barricaded himself in a vehicle, prompting SWAT deployment. After tear gas was used, Robinson emerged and pointed a gun at officers, who then fired, killing him at the scene. No officers were injured.
A convicted felon, Robinson ran Off Duty Police Services, a company connecting North Texas police with off-duty security gigs at hotels and events. He posed as a police officer, drove a replica undercover vehicle with stolen plates, and had a criminal history including a 2021 federal warning for straw purchasing firearms.
Federal Election Commission records show payments to Mike King for security services from Crockett's campaign as recently as last year. Photos depict him near Crockett at public events and during her Senate campaign. Crockett's office declined comment.
Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux addressed the incident in a press conference, confirming the warrant and standoff details. The investigation continues.
